About us!
——George Reynolds is the sole proprietor of Swamp Fox Bikes.
He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, and served 5 years in the US Army. Studied Welding Technology at Wentworth Institute of Technology, at Boston, MA. He taught Welding Technology at Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH. Running Reynolds Weld Lab for many years building custom bicycle frames, doing weld design, repair and fabrication until 2018. Newly relocated in Myrtle Beach , SC, currently building Gravel Bikes and Single Speeds of double butted alloy steel tubes.
I love to ride bikes, especially well made ones. Bicycles are one of the simple things in life, they don't need to be complicated to ride well. My faith in Jesus Christ is similarly simple: behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world ( John 1:29). The Cyclists Psalm 147:10-11; (puts things in perspective), "The Lord does not delight in the strength of the horse nor in the legs of man, but His delight is in those that fear Him and hope in His mercy".
As a Master Fabricator, I have the skill set to build quality custom bikes frames and forks that are strong, light, efficient to ride and at a great price. Designing a custom bike to fit customers desires can be a daunting task if they don't know what they really want. There are many considerations: tube selection, geometry, size, wheels, type of bike, rider position, weight, cost and the list goes on. If you know what you want in a top of the line steel bike, that makes my job easier. If your not sure, I will gladly help you along in the process.
I have built thousands of bicycle frames over the years, working for myself and other builders such as: Chris Chance at Fat City Cycles, (the first Mountain Bike Builder on the East Coast), Dick Ryan of Ryan Recumbents (the Godfather of Recumbents), Bob (Mad Max) Hall, of Hall's Wheels ( First man to complete the Boston Marathon in a wheelchair), more recently the Indomitable Master Builder Ted Wojcik of the Live Free or Die State of NH.
I am building Long John Cargo Bikes and if you are interested in one of my designs, Please: Call, text, email or better yet come and test ride one of my awesome machines and explore beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC. from the seat of a cargo bike.
Greetings George Reynolds
